Grimke and Sarah

- Elizabeth
Cady Stanton (1815-1902) suffragist and reformer, convened the first
women's Rights Convention in Seneca Falls, NY in 1848. (If this

- Susan
B. Anthony from the National Women's Hall of Fame. Account
of the trial of Susan B. Anthony on charge of illegal voting digitized

- Lucretia
Mott (1793-1880) Quaker anti-slavery advocate, who, after meeting
Elizabeth Cady Stanton, became a leader in the women's right's movement. The
Proceedings
of the Women's Rights Convention in June of 1852, led by Lucretia
Mott, digitized by the Library of Congress. Other writing by and about
Ms. Mott are available as part of American
Memory collections.

Perkins Gilman (1860-1935) a

influential and well-known anarchist of her day, Goldman was an early
