- Soviet Archives Exhibit at the Library of Congress. Includes images, full-text, and more. Emphasis is on Stalin's atrocities: purges, collectivization, Ukraine famine, Gulag system.
- Russian History (Bucknell College) A comprehensive site with links, bibliographies, dynasties, history, chronology. Comprehensive, all-purpose Russia page. Requires QuickTime.
- The State Russian Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia. In English and Russian
- Jewels of the Romanovs The exhibit; Romanov history.
- Alexander Palace Time Machine The Palace of Tsar Nicholas II and Tsaritsa Alexandra Feodorova. Completed in 1796, this palace was and is one of the great royal mansions of St. Petersburg; excellent text and graphics; good web links to nineteenth-century Russian history sites.
