Political Art

  • Artist for Freedom: Library of Congress exhibit of the works of Arthur Szyk (1894 - 1951), one America's leading political artists during World War II. He produced hundreds of anti-Axis illustrations and cartoons in aid of the Allied war effort. He also created art in the service of human rights and civil liberties.
  • Poster Art from World War II: Powers of Persuasion "Guns, tanks, and bombs were the principal weapons of World War II, but there were other, more subtle, forms of warfare as well.
